- Member Rebecca Wild writes: "I just wanted to let you know that
I am teaching an exciting workshop at Sitka Center for Art and Ecology
on June 26-28. Of all the classes that I teach I think that this is
my best. I love the sequence of the projects, the energy and the opportunity
to expose others to the artwork of Paul Klee. The results are always
stunning." See the announcment & flyer in the News section for more
details.
- Thanks to Dale Grealish for the most recent pictures
from Carol Dubosh's Advanced Calligraphy class. If you'd like
to see more pictures of other workshops or events, feel free to send
them to the webweaver so we can spark fond memories and inspire
people who couldn't be there.

Brush Calligraphy with Carol DuBosch
The lively character and contemporary look of Pointed Brush letters
make them enjoyable to write and give this script practical and creative
use. This workshop will introduce students to the potential of the pointed
brush as a calligraphic tool. Beginning with a study of a basic script
based upon Italic pen letters, students will then move on to experiment
with in- creasingly free variations. Consideration will be given to
creative applications as original work, reproduced work and layout
possibilities.
